This sculpture was made using found objects gathered from a coastal location in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Mere days after the objects used to make it were collected, a fire destroyed the area leaving nothing but ash in its wake. The objects used to make the sculpture, which include wood and dry grass seeds, are all that remained of the landscape that once was.
